We invite you to play a crucial role in this transformative endeavor, bringing our vision to fruition as part of our dedicated team.We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior BIM Coordinator & Technical Specialist to join the EMEA Sales and Service Infrastructure Development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that superior quality standards and the most efficient design tools are deployed to optimize the workflows of architectural design teams throughout EMEA.
Your contributions as a member of the Design Content and BIM Management team will be key to facilitating the expansion of Tesla's network across the region. You will take an active role in data collection from our diverse projects, aiming to fulfill company goals, and engage with business partners and external manufacturers to propel creative design projects from conception to execution. Your innovative input and collaboration are the foundation upon which the success and advancement of our infrastructure development strategy in EMEA rests. What You’ll Do
- Support architectural projects utilizing Revit/BIM throughout all stages of project development and across various program typologies.
- Maintain, correct, update, and audit the BIM project database.
- Technically develop, maintain, and update the company-specific Revit family library.
- Design and model products, equipment, and specific program requirements in Revit.
- Develop digital Revit/BIM standards for prototypical facilities.
- Continually update BIM model project information and templates.
- Provide technical support to both internal and external Revit/BIM collaborators.
- Facilitate training and onboarding for design team members in Revit/BIM practices.
- Innovate new tools (e.g. scripts, apps) to enhance project team effectiveness and internal BIM processes.
- Lead innovation/improvement initiatives, evaluate outcomes, and offer feedback and guidance.
- Maintain and refresh specifications libraries for organizational use.
- Develop and update Tesla's standard graphic guidelines packages for diverse applications.
- Handle and manage BIM Bill of Quantities (BOQ) data extraction requests to aid strategic planning.
- Propel creative design initiatives, product launches, updates, and requirements for various business opportunities.
- Update the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and associated documentation.
- Keep internal Geo/Global development tools up to date.
- An architectural and BIM coordinator background is highly desirable, along with relevant experience in the BIM field (minimum of 4-5 years).
- Proven project experience in BIM coordination using Autodesk Revit and BIM360.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams on various projects, exhibiting strong teamwork skills while also capable of independent work.
- Meticulous attention to detail with proficiency in managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- A willingness to assist teams with both straightforward issues and more complex inquiries as needed.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit at an advanced level.
- Knowledge of Autodesk BIM interoperability tools (DiRoots, pyRevit, Ideate, etc.).
- Experience with data environment and coordination platforms (BIM360, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint).
- Skills in Visual Programming (Dynamo).
- Familiarity with programming languages (Common API, Revit API- Python/C#) is a plus.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D is advantageous.
